This lost cat is still missing so the owners opted to include the unedited poster in case Wolf is spotted and someone needs to contact them.

What do you love about your cat?
He has a really big personality and always is involved in everything we’re doing. He has lots of opinions, he’s more like a dog. He wants to be where everyone is. He climbed the ladder we had set up and sat up there at the top to be close to us.
He loved my 8-year-old a lot and he would give head bumps to her. He’s part of the family and obsessed with dogs. We kept telling him we were planning on getting him a puppy this fall. He was super nice and curious. Our neighbor thought someone took him because he’s so nice and really pretty. He’s Siamese.
Who made the lost cat poster?
My older daughter. We wanted good pictures of him and to make people aware we wanted him back. We were hoping for neighbors to keep a lookout. We thought he might be locked in a garage or shed. I took flyers to all the shelters and some local vets. His microchip is flagged as missing and we would get an email if he’s found and checked. I tried to have tracking collars on my cats. I have to have breakaway collars because we were constantly finding their collars in the driveway. My cats don’t keep collars on them.
Why did you name your cat Wolf?
My daughter named them. His sister is not Siamese. They are named Salem and Wolf from an album by Tyler, the Creator called Wolf. We got Salem and Wolf together. They are siblings. Salem is a tortoise shell calico, and their mom is a black cat. The litter had a few Siamese cats in there too.
What has your cat taught you that has surprised you?
I guess I didn’t know this before, but they are their own little souls and personalities. You can give them autonomy, and they can trust you and still be part of your family. Be Independent. Wolf would come and go. We tried to keep him inside when we first got him, but he started peeing inside. I tried pheromones but they didn’t work. Then I let him be outside and he’s very curious and into exploring. He’s like, I love you and I’ll come back.
Did you find Wolf?
No. He hasn’t been found.
What happened?
He went missing when we were out of town. It was over Memorial weekend, and our older daughter was home. It was 8pm the last time she saw him. She was trying to keep them inside, but he wanted to go out so she let him outside at 8pm.
They want to be out all night, and they have a solid routine to be at the door at 6am to come inside again. Breakfast time. It’s their routine even in winter. We have boxes that are insulated we put by the door for when it’s cold. They really want to sleep outside.
All 3 of them come when I call. We cling their metal food bowls together outside. I have seen Wolf running from far away. When they don’t show up, they are usually there within 5 minutes. It’s their pattern every morning and night. We’re able to check in on them and everyone’s accounted for.
The next morning Wolf wasn’t at the door, and my daughter had to go to work. I had a friend stop by to check for him, and she called me and said he wasn’t around. Our neighbor thinks he saw him a day later. We thought because he’s curious to alert people to check their garages and sheds. He’s nosy. We have a detached garage and he’s gotten stuck in there.
I texted everyone who knows him from our neighbors and my daughter made flyers a few days later. Two weeks after he went missing a cat that lives nearby, a female Siamese, went missing. She’s older and has been in the neighborhood forever.
I texted that cat owner and said I also had a Siamese cat, and we think someone took him. It raises my suspicion that two Siamese cats went missing right by each other. Not even a solid week after we put up our signs someone went through and took down most of our signs on the main road I put them on. Some right across the street from my house. We started to see lost cat posters for the other missing Siamese cat. I don’t think he found that cat. We are going to put more signs up this week.
Does your cat have relationships with other animals?
Yes, he lives with two female cats, one of them his sister Salem. Our other cat is named Bean. When we go to my sister’s house Wolf goes with us and loves her dogs. He’s more like a dog. He was obsessed with our golden retriever Zarrah; that was his person. Wolf bonded to her and loved her and was definitely depressed when she died. We were going to get Wolf a puppy this Summer or fall.
Does your cat have any special abilities and/or psychic powers?
I don’t know. I think he was really good about if I was having a hard day or not feeling good Wolf would cuddle. He was really sweet and sensitive to how I was feeling. My younger daughter was his second choice after our golden retriever. He was sweet and always happy to see her and would sleep in her lap. Wolf sensed things. He was really adventurous and curious. Whatever you are doing he’s just gotta be involved. He was the supervisor.
Is your cat indoor/outdoor?
Both. He lived with 2 cats. They didn’t use a pet door. One of our cats would bring in half dead animals and we have sticky spider traps they would get stuck in. That ruined the pet door privilege for them.
How would you describe your cat’s personality?
Very, very sweet and loving. He loves everyone, is super friendly, very curious, funny, playful, and loves dogs.
Why did you decide to talk to me?
We want him back and this is another platform for someone to maybe see something. I have a theory about the signs; If someone took him and doesn’t know he has a home, this may help spread the word and let as many people know so they can notice if all of a sudden there is a Siamese cat in someone’s house.
We do have wild animals and there’s always a chance it could have been that, but my gut says someone took him. If he had been injured or hit by a car, someone would have gotten back to us on info like that. We haven’t gotten that. I have a friend who had a cat missing and found out it was hit by a car.
Someone contacted us because of the other Siamese lost cat poster. The cats look very similar, both have a dark face and are Siamese.
Does your cat remind you of any people in your life?
I don’t think so. He’s his own little creature. He’s super fun. Our extended family, we love each other’s pets. Everyone is attached to him; he’s traveled to their houses. He likes car rides. If you have the door open, he hops in the car. He goes to get groceries, on other errands, school drop-off. He was attached to the dog so he would go where she went, and she usually went in the car.
He stood out from other cats. He wanted to participate with our whole family and do what we were doing.
What is something to know about your neighborhood?
I think we have a really great neighborhood. There are kids everywhere and tons of cats everywhere. We walk a lot and have specific routes we take, and we pet the cats that are around. For the most part everyone is friendly and nice. It’s family friendly; people are active. A ton of people walk and ride bikes to take kids to school. We are on a main route to the closest school nearby.
What kinds of things do you notice about your cat?
He’s super curious. He’s a big hunter. He’s got his own choices and sticks by them. You can’t tell him differently. He’s really sweet and sassy. He was waiting to be fed in the morning, and he got super mad and swiped at me and made a grumpy sound because I wasn’t feeding him fast enough. If someone took him, he’s definitely being a brat to them because they interrupted his routine. He wanted freedom, he wanted to come and go.
He was funny. He’d get the zoomies in the yard. He’d lay on the stairs and attack you when you went up or down. He pounced on pine cones. He was goofy and playful.
Describe your cat with four words:
Curious, smart, funny, snuggly.
